2018 3rd-gen Mercedes CLS revealed at the LA Auto Show
Here is the new Mercedes-Benz CLS, showing off Merc’s svelte new design language. Around the CLS you’ll notice fewer creases and simpler lines than before, making it easier on the eye.

The new car serves up a sleek new profile with a high arching waistline, low roofline and frameless side windows. Up front, a new grille has been widened towards the bottom to resemble the AMG GT supercar. A new, bigger headlight cluster follows the lines, The rear’s characteristic heavy-set muscular shoulder line remains to help give it presence.

Inside you get both elements of Merc’s sporty side as well as the refinement of cars such as the S-Class results in quite a package. The CLS has also borrowed numerous driverless and safety tech from the S-Class.
The engines. There are two flavours of diesel: a 286bhp CLS 350 d 4MATIC, and a 340bhp unit in the CLS 400 d 4MATIC. Only one petrol is available, which happens to be the most powerful in the line-up - a six-cylinder in the CLS 450 4MATIC, good for 367bhp. 0-100kph in just a time of 4.8secs.

The CLS is expected to be one of Mercedes’ models coming to India in 2018.
