2018 Jeep Wrangler 3-door spied in India

The 2018 Jeep Wrangler SUV has been spotted in India and is expected to be launched soon.

The image also reveal that the SUV is right-hand drive (RHD) model and considering the fact that the Wrangler is sold in India as a CBU (completely built unit), Jeep might launch new-gen model by the end of 2018 or early 2019. It is possible that the SUV is here for homologation.

The 2018 Jeep Wrangler models (3-door & 5-door) were first showcased in November last year, at the 2017 Los Angeles Auto Show, followed by its European debut at the Geneva Motor Show early this year in March 2018. The latest spy image of 3-door Jeep Wrangler is expected to be one of the higher-spec models (possibly the Sahara).

The new Jeep Wrangler comes with:

  • New platform that is lighter and larger

  • LED headlamps.

  • LED DRL integrated into the front fender

  • New bumper

  • Stylish set of alloy wheels

  • New ORVM's with integrated turn signal lights

  • Updated cabin with a revised dashboard

  • Uconnect 4C NAV 8.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system with navigation, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, dual-zone automatic climate control and more.

  • Features like passive keyless entry, push-button start, and much more.

Under the hood, the Jeep Wrangler will get a 2.2-litre, 4-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine that features mild-hybrid technology for the first time ever. The Wrangler will also get the tried and tested 3.6-litre V6 naturally aspirated Pentastar engine, which will be the top spec petrol model.

The Jeep Wrangler will be available with an 8-speed automatic gearbox - which is also brand new and no manual option will be offered.

2018 Maruti Wagon R spied under heavy camo

While everyone is engaged with the launches and happenings at the 2018 Delhi Auto Expo, Maruti Suzuki is busily testing the 2018 Wagon R.

The test mule was spotted near Maruti’s Gurgaon plant and the body panels seems almost production ready. The car may be heavily camouflaged but gives away clear cues of the new design and dimensions.

The 2018 Maruti Suzuki Wagon R will continue to be a tall-boy hatchback but will get a new exterior design for a more modern look and feel. The car gets flared fenders and a prominent muscular line that runs across the side body panels.

The 2018 Maruti Wagon R will meet the Bharat Stage 6 (BS6) emission norms, in addition to  the stricter safety norms under Bharat New Vehicle Safety Assessment Program (BNVSAP).

The market position and the pricing of the new car will be similar to the ongoing model. Most other details about this car are not known for now.

Currently, the Wagon R is powered by 3-cylinder, 998cc engine which produces 67 hp and 90 Nm mated to 5-speed manual gearbox. Auto Gear Shift is option on higher trims.

Next generation Force Motors Trax Cruiser / Toofan spied testing

A heavily camouflaged, large utility vehicle has been spotted testing in Pune, Maharashtra. Though the identity of the vehicle has been disguised under covers, its overall structure appears to be similar to that of the Force Trax Cruiser and Toofan.

The vehicle was spotted testing around the Force Motors plant in Chinchwad, Pune, indicating that it is likely to be a test mule of a Force vehicle.

It might be a possibility that Force is testing a new-generation model of the Trax series for the Indian market.

Under the Trax range, Force Motors currently sells Trax Gama, Trax Cruiser, Trax Toofan, Trax Ambulance, Trax Cruiser Deluxe, Trax Toofan Deluxe and Trax Cruiser School Van.
