Over 8000 units of Jaguar XF recalled in China

Jaguar Land Rover will recall 8,952 vehicles in China due to defective airbags.

The recall was filed by Jaguar Land Rover China to the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine.

Starting from January 19, the company will recall 8,952 imported 2013 Jaguar XF vehicles manufactured between June 19, 2012 and October 1, 2013, according to the administration.

Gas generators of the airbags may break when airbags open, which will lead to injury to passengers, states report.

The automaker will check all the affected vehicles and replace defective parts free of charge.

The E-PACE is the newest member of Jaguar’s SUV family following Jaguar’s first all-electric SUV, the I-PACE Concept and the World Car of the Year-winning F-PACE performance SUV. The Jaguar E-PACE is a five-seat, compact SUV that packs the design and performance of a Jaguar sports car into a spacious, practical and connected all-wheel-drive vehicle.

The E-PACE completed its world record jump at ExCeL in London – one of only a handful of venues in the UK big enough to accommodate the 160-metre run-up and run-off vital for the 15-metre leap. Behind the wheel was stunt driver Terry Grant, who has completed stunts on many film sets and holds an impressive 21 GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS titles.

The E-PACE will be one of the most connected and intelligent vehicles in its class. The next-generation touchscreen infotainment system connects customers to their favourite apps, such as Spotify through Jaguar Land Rover’s InControl apps.

Under the bonnet, E-PACE features a choice of efficient yet powerful Ingenium petrol and diesel engines. The 300PS Ingenium petrol turbo engine powers E-PACE from 0-100kmph in just 6.4 seconds before reaching an electronically-limited top speed of 185kmph.

The E-PACE is a compact SUV which is 4,395mm long with short front and rear overhangs of 882mm and 832mm respectively. It has a wheelbase of 2,681mm and a generous rear legroom of 892mm . The luggage capacity is 577 litres.

Every E-PACE features the latest generation of Jaguar’s Touch Pro infotainment system. Natural voice control technology, a 10-inch touchscreen interface and a customisable home screen make interactions with the system quick, simple and highly intuitive.

An optional 12.3-inch full colour digital TFT instrument panel and choice of two premium audio systems developed with Meridian ensure E-PACE offers the technology and connectivity that customers crave.
