Helmet a must in Pune. Cops fine 4717 riders in a day

Maharashtra transport minister Diwakar Raote said that wearing helmets while riding a two wheeler would be made compulsory across the state. The traffic control branch of Pune city police started a drive on Thursday to enforce helmet compulsion.

Pune RTO 'Street Sense' conducts safety awareness ride

On the occasion of this year’s 67th Republic Day, the Regional Transport Office (RTO), Pune and the Street Sense initiative, conducted a motorcycle ride through the city to create awareness on the need for wearing helmet and to ensure road safety.
