2016 Hyundai Elite i20 loaded with new features. Baleno effect?

Hyundai has released images of the 2016 Hyundai Elite i20. The new model will be showcased at the 2016 Delhi Auto Expo. The 2016 Hyundai Elite i20 gets projector headlamps with daytime running LEDs and front airbags as standard on all the variants.

The Sportz (O) variant of Hyundai Elite i20 has been discontinued henceforth. While Sportz, Asta and Asta (O) are available along with base - Era and Magna.

The 2016 Hyundai Elite i20 gets front airbags as standard throughout the range and front passenger airbag for variants above the Sportz.  Projector headlamps with daytime running LEDs is another upgrade which is standard in Asta (O) trim.

The Asta (O) variant will now run on 16 inch alloy wheels and will come in diamond cut finish.

The lower-end variants are now equipped with a music system with an LCD display while the range-topping Asta (O) now gets an Audio Video Navigation system with a 7.0-inch display which made its debut with Creta. The car now gets Bluetooth enabled telephonic as standard with Magna and variants above.

The 2016 Hyundai Elite i20 hatchback gets  two engine options. The 1.2-litre Kappa petrol engine with VTVT  that produces 83 PS and 114 Nm  and the 1.4-litre U2 diesel motor unit that produces 90 PS power and 220 Nm.

Transmission options include a five-speed manual and a six-speed manual. There is no automatic gearbox on offer. ABS is only offered from Sportz variants onwards.
