Auto Expo 2016 comes to an end. 108 new unveils and 6lakh visitors

The 2016 Auto Expo, came to a close on Tuesday. The expo was organized jointly by Automotive Component Manufacturers Association (ACMA), Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM).

The expo, inaugurated by heavy industries minister Anant Geete and transport minister Nitin Gadkari on February 5,  witnessed 108 new products being launched and unveiled and over 6,01,914 visitors.

Sixty five auto manufacturers exhibited their products from across the globe at the expo. Some pavilions also featured works from leading institutes of the country like the IIT and MIT.

Adding to the glamour quotient were Katrina Kaif, Akshay Kumar, Ranbir Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Manoj Bajpayee, Alia Bhatt, Taapsee Pannu. Some of the leading cricketers of the country like Zaheer Khan, Virat Kohli, Piyush Chawla along with the little master Sachin Tendulkar.

The mobile app launched three days before the show was an instant hit with over 10,000 plus downloads over the 5 days the expo went on.
